Player to Player Page |
This is a page dedicated to getting people together to play games via email. Many people email me asking if there's a place on the Net to post challenges. There is one that I know of, on the CONSIMWORLD discussion board, under Boardgaming, "PBEM: Opponents Wanted". You can also use the Forum page on this site, if need be, or mail me your information in semi-tabular format.
Other Net Resources for PBeM Gamers
Here is the Opponents Wanted List on Nick Bell's excellent HKL site. It supports Aide De Camp only. No need to type it in twice. There's a List of folks on the bottom of Tod Zircher's VMAP page indicating games they are interested in playing via VMAP. Chris Goldfarb's WARPLANNER page has an Opponents Wanted link (only for A3R/Rising Sun games, and you have to log in). Eric Pass maintains a directory of PBeM Players lists for Web Grognards. This can be found here: http://www.grognard.com/eric/. These are mostly AH/COA/VG style wargames. Sean Emerson maintains a list of possible opponents using his Wargame Processor utility.
The Emporium Lists
If you would like your play list posted here, please follow these rules:
Send it to Walt O'Hara listed in the following manner:
columnar (a spreadsheet is ideal, Excel the best for my purposes)
List by PRIORITY, then TITLE, then UTILITY, then SITE MODULE IS ON.
Examples would be: "1, Black Hole, CB,
Emporium" or "3, Totaller Krieg, ADC, HKL"...
make each new entry a new line.

Comments: "I have only played OGRE once, and I ROLLED over my opponent. I guess if he had put his Howitzers in back, with overlapping fields of fire, he might have slowed me down, but as it was, I spanked him. Now that I understand the rules, I want to play someone who won't be such a pushover."

Comments: I'm on Unix, so I can't play Cyberboard. I'm the JV_Map developer, and would love more beta testers; however, if you have Windows, JV_Map and V_MAP 1.7 have proved to interoperate succesfully. One of these years, I hope to produces V_MAP game boxes for additional games: Holy War, Artifact, Hot Spot, Black Hole, and whatever else I get my hands on.
