Game notes

Force pools are set up for all scenarios under the game file *Caesar's Legions.ops*, except the Germans for scenario 5. With all the desertions that are possible in this scenario I wasn't quite sure how to do it. For scenario 5 German pieces should be able to be selected on an as needed basis.

I didn't create any *game info sheets* for this game, but they could be quite useful. If interest merits it I can create some.

The Batavian forces are on different sides in different scenarios. They are set up as being on the German side. Their class definition should be changed as to who the owning player is as the scenario dictates.

This is how I envision the tactical battle cards working by e-mail. I haven't tried this, there may or may not be a better way to implement it, but here goes.

1. Open the game *Caesar Cards.ops*
2. Log in as either player
3. Select Cards from the menu, then Hand from the submenu
4. Open either the German or Roman hand, they're identical
5. From the Hand window click on *From deck*
6. Select either deck from the *select deck* window.
7. Pick the card you want to play from the deck list
8. Now we're back at the *Hand* window, double click your card then place it on the playing surface.
9. Save your card played as, for example, *Battle at hex A1 card.ops*
10. Zip the ops file with password protection and send it to your opponent.
11. Opponent will reply with a non-password protected reply after he/she receives your selection.
12. After you receive the opponents selection, send him/her the password to open the previously sent card that you played to adjust the combat odds with.

The concealed movement and ambushes for the Teutoburger Wald scenario can be implemented similar to the cards by the German player setting up his forces in the *Concealed, Ambushes.ops* game and then zipping and password protecting it. At the end of the game the password can be sent to the Roman player.
